It's here!

The retired lists are HERE!  I have to say that I'm sad to see some of the sets go into retirement.  Personally I will miss Always (p. 69), Kimono Kids (p. 62), Forest Friends (p. 93), Build-a-Roo (p. 72), and perhaps most of all I will miss Blowing Kisses (p. 47.)  You see, soon I will be attending Stampin' Up's National Convention and I have signed up to participate in many swaps of cards.  I wanted to get a head start on making the cards, so I made 100 for a love note swap.  That's right... 100 cards for just one of the swaps I'm attending.  I selected a newer set.  A stamp set that was just introduced in the 2010-2011 catalog.  I knew it wouldn't retire because it was so new.  Guess what?  At 12:05AM this morning, I anxiously logged onto the Stampin' Up website to see what was being retired.  Imagine my surprise when Blowing Kisses was on the list.  As I sat here looking at a huge stack of 100 cards with a watercolored image from the set, I just wanted to cry.  I guess I have learned my lesson... don't start on convention swaps until after the retired lists are released.  Anyway, I'm going to pull the images off all the cards and try to salvage them so I won't have to start from scratch.  After all, I still have another 157 to make for other swaps.  This is the card before I destroy it.  lol  I'll post again once I redesign it with a different stamp set.

PS - On a personal note, yesterday really wasn't a very good day.  My husband knew I was having a rotten day and came home from work early carrying roses.  He's so thoughtful!  The roses really did make me feel better.  Then later when I saw the retired list this morning, I just glanced over at the roses and at my husband and I knew that everything was going to be OK.
