My Spice Cake Wreath
Stampin' Up sells beautiful designer fabric that coordinates with their paper and inks. I love to look at it and to see what other people create. However, I don't sew. I can't make totes, aprons, or even placemats. I can, however, make something that requires no sewing at all! I made a wreath. I used the Spice Cake fabric and mixed in some chocolate chip corduroy, ivory muslin, and some brown metallic tulle. I cut my fabric into strips and tied them onto a foam wreath. I added a bit of retired chocolate chip ribbon to attach the wreath to the holder on my door. Then I realized that this wreath was smaller than past ones I've used and you can see the ugly hanger. No problem... I stamped some leaves, cut them out and used to hide the bright blue hanger. Now I just need to sit back, drink cider, and watch the leaves turn colors.
