A New Card Kit

There’s a new Card Kit available today.  It’s called Everyday Occasions Cardmaking Kit.  It’s item #134797 and contains $50 worth of cardmaking supplies for only $29.95.

The kit includes:

  • One exclusive clear-mount stamp set
  • 20 card bases
  • 20 envelopes
  • Two Stampin' Spots
  • One clear block unique to the kit (It's a sleek, thin block.)
  • Lots of embellishments
  • Stampin' Dimensionals
  • Tips and tricks

It’s the perfect kit for a quick card, when you are trying to get your creative juices flowing, or when you want a great gift for someone special.  Everything you need in included except adhesive and scissors.  All the items fit nicely into an attractive storage box (again.. great for gift giving!), but keep in mind that a DVD case will not fit, so the stamp set is loose.

I haven’t seen it in person yet, but so far it looks good to me.  Smile

Happy Stampin!

**Also, I just received the following info about the Envelope Punch Board:

“We've had an overwhelmingly positive response to the new Envelope Punch
Board--so much so that that you have nearly sold through our supply
weeks sooner than we anticipated! We have already taken steps to restock
our inventory, but the new supply will not arrive in the Distribution
Center until mid-October. We anticipate that the Envelope Punch Boards
will be placed on backorder in the next few days.”

I guess if you want one, you should order it soon before it’s on backorder.  Smile

My Review of the Big Shot Magnetic Platform

Do you love using framelits to cut out your stamped images?  Are you tired of using tape to hold the framelit in place?  I was.  Last year I ordered a magnetic platform from Lifestyle Crafts called the Genius.  I was disappointed and I didn’t think it’s name was fitting.  This year when Stampin’ Up released a new Big Shot magnetic platform, I was hesitant to buy after the Genius experience.  I did order it recently and I’ve done a short video review of the differences.  After using the Big Shot version, I can say that I think it’s a great product that works as advertised.  I think it’s the real “genius."

Magnetic Platform Update

The Magnetic Platform has been sold out for months!  The good news, however, is that effective now, it is back in stock.  It is item #130658 and costs $39.95.  I stayed up late to buy mine before it sells out again!  If you think it’s something you need for your crafting, I wouldn’t delay in ordering.  And remember, if you’re ordering anyway, go ahead and add on some other crafting things to get your merchandise order to $50 so you’ll be eligible for my shipping rebate.

****UPDATE:  There are also new items on the Clearance Rack!  GOGOGO while they are still available!*****

More Fair Card Ideas

I saw so many great cards at the Oregon State Fair.  Here are some more of my favorites:

Many of the cards entered were made from Stampin’ Up stamps or supplies.  That’s awesome!

I have a few more to share next time, so check back again!

Card Ideas from the State Fair

I loved volunteering at the Oregon State Fair this past weekend.  One of the perks was that we got inside before it opened so I could view the papercrafting displays without interruption.  I saw some great cards there and I thought I’d share so we can all copy the ideas.  hehe  Unfortunately I cut off the artist’s name when zooming in on the card.

But wait!  There’s more!  Check back to see some more awesome cards!

Fun at the State Fair

I volunteered to demonstrate paper crafting techniques at the Oregon State Fair this past weekend.  I also volunteered my husband to help out.  lol  We had a great time!  We made simple gift tags and showed folks how to use the Big Shot to emboss paper.  We also got into the fair for free for volunteering.  woo hoo!

While there I looked at the displays of winning cards.  I did win 4 blue ribbons, as well as some others for greeting cards.  I think I will receive the ribbons when I pick up the cards next week.  For now, they just marked the winners with a little star.  If you visit the blog, you’ve seen these cards before.  If not, here are some of the cards that placed that will win either blue or red ribbons:

I also took photos of other cards which I’ll share next time!
